Food Tree List

Join Our Forum

The list comes from the now defunct Allergy Asthma Association of Alberta. The source was not listed however it corresponds to other books I have seen. It is also available in biology or nutrition textbooks.

More information can easily be found if you do a Google search and type in the common name. Another good resource for North American plants is the United States Dept of Agriculture website.

Sometimes people with a food allergy can sometimes be sensitive to other foods in the same botanical group. People with peanut allergy may be sensitive to other legumes. Birch family allergies are pretty common. People with latex sensitivity may also be sensitive to other fruits such as banana or kiwi. It is not advisable to stop eating lots of foods. As always, check it out with your medical practitioner. Dietitians are underused resource!

cross refference page.

Same source and good basic info.
